By Train
Stalybridge train station is on the main Trans-Pennine line between Manchester and Leeds/York. Either go from Leeds Central station, or from Piccadilly Station in Manchester. The trains to Stalybridge are regular from these two stations. Once in Stalybridge station (there is a very good pub right on the platform - so you can drown your sorrow on the return trip!) exit by the front entrance.

To get to the ground from the station by bus will take about 10 - 15 minutes. Straight across the road is a bus-stop, or a little further down the road on the right, is one of Stalybridge's bus-stations. From either place, take the 217, 236 or 237 buses; all three of which go past Bower Fold. The bus-journey will be about ten to fifteen minutes. Ask the driver to alert you when it's time to get off - they're used to it. The bus-stop is directly opposite Bower Fold. For the return journey, there is a bus-stop on the same side as Bower Fold, take any of the previously mentioned buses, this time going to the Station.
