Blyth Spartans can announce the signing of goalkeeper Max Johnson subject to the club obtaining international clearance from the FA.
The 20-year-old started his career in the Burnley youth set up and since been involved in the set-ups at Bury, Newcastle United and Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Premier League.
This summer has also seen him train with MLS side the Colorado Rapids in Denver.
Manager Steve Cuggy commented “Max has done well in the pre-season games that he has been involved in (North Shields and Dunston) and we have been impressed with what he can do.”
